James Buckner

James (Buck) Buckner proudly joined our team here at Wilkins & Co in late October of 2016.  James is a Danville native, and is married to Jessica Bryant Buckner and has one son, Elisha Shelton.  After graduation, he worked for Dan River Mills/Schoolfield Division, Dimon Tobacco, and is also the former owner/operator of The Temple nightclub in Downtown Danville.  He later worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Danville before leaving to open Pawn Shops America in 2009. James was elected to Danville City Council in May 2014.

 I am thrilled to be a part of the Wilkins team. I plan to utilize my vast knowledge and understanding of both future and present development, change and activity in the city as well as a big picture understanding of the neighborhoods and how they all fit together to make our city one of the best places to live work and play in Virginia.
