Hampton Wilkins was born and raised here in the Dan River Region. A REALTOR since 1975, he has been a major player in Danville's transformation into a thriving, growing city. He is a past president of the Dan River Region Association of Realtors and well-known throughout Virginia, serving on the state level on numerous Virginia Association of Realtors (VAR) committees throughout his career. Hampton earned his Masters in Business Administration from Averett University in 1987. His hard work and commitment to continuing education have earned him many honors. He was named a member of the VAR Honor Society in 1991, and has consistently received top honors from the Dan River Region Association of Realtors. Additionally, he was honored as local Realtor of the Year in 1997 and CRB of the year for the state of Virginia in 2002. In 2017, Hampton trained to assist international clients and is now a CORT Destination Service Consultant and an Area Consultant for GO Destination Services. He loves the Dan River Region and enjoys sharing his town with newcomers to the area!
He is a leader in the community as well as the real estate market serving on the Boards of Averett University, Danville Development Council, Danville Airport Commission, Truist Community Advisory Board, and the Fair Housing Board. He is also a charter member of Riverview Rotary and is a recipient of the prestigious Paul Harris award. He has also served on the Boards of Goodwill Industries, Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce, Danville Life Saving Crew and Danville Regional Health Foundation. He is also a member and supporter of the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History, Danville Historical Society and First Presbyterian Church.
Hampton's leadership and commitment to the Region led to Wilkins & Co. being honored with "Small Business of the Year" award by the Danville Chamber of Commerce, the Global Village Award by the Danville Public Schools, the "Employer of the Year", by DADEN and the Long Standing Support Award by United Way of Danville-Pittsylvania County.
