Sallie Abreu is a native of Danville. After graduating from G.W.H.S., Sallie majored in Economics / Business and earned a B.A. from Queens College in Charlotte, where she also worked for two years as a college admissions counselor. From there, Sallie went on to earn an M.B.A. from Emory University in Atlanta, with concentrations in Marketing and Management. After graduation and a year of working in Florida, Sallie and her husband, Luis, chose to live in Danville to raise a family, work and enjoy their friends and community. Sallie and Luis have two grown daughters Sarah and Maria, who were educated in the Danville public school system and both are graduates of UVA.

Sallie is a licensed broker in Virginia and North Carolina; she is a graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI), has earned the E-PRO Technology Certification designation, is an ASP, Accredited Staging Professional, 2006 Dan River Region Association of Realtors Rookie of the Year, 2007-2010 DRRAR Honor Society member, and is present secretary Board of Directors of DRRAR.
