Janice Chapman is a native of Pittsylvania County,
growing up in the Westover area and Glenwood, attending Glenwood elementary
school and graduating from Dan River High in 1956. Janice married Oliver Hamel
Chapman and moved to the D.C. and Maryland area where they lived, worked, and
began their family. Oliver managed Peoples Drug Stores for 26 years and was
employed with Lorillard Tobacco Co.
Janice was employed with the Public
Financial Corp. and later they started their own retail business. In 1986,
Janice attended P.G. Community College becoming an Early Childhood Educator;
working with her husband in their business, and in 1989 entered the Real Estate
Industry with O'Brien Realty in Waldorf, Maryland. When Oliver retired, they
returned to their roots, here in Danville, where Janice placed her licenses with
Wilkins & Co. Realtors bringing with he a storehouse of knowledge, experience,
vital to the Real Estate Profession.
Janice has earned the Multi-Million Dollar
Award in both Maryland and Virginia, Top Producer Award, Top Production Agent
Award, and Graduate of Real Estate Institute Designation in Virginia, and is a
strong advocate for Continuing Education.
Janice is a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist
Church, Member of Dan Pitts American Business Women's Association, Home Builders
Association, member of the musical group "Heartstrings", performing at local and
area Nursing Homes, and is very active in Community services and activities.
She is a mother of two children, Steven
Lee Chapman in Front Royal, Virginia, and Terri Lynn Chapman in Hermosa Beach,
California. She has three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Her mission is to stay prepared with the
latest updated education, training, knowledge, and information necessary to meet
any opportunity that provides the best service possible for her customers and
clients, thus producing complete client satisfaction.
